Working with Apache

Locate the cgi's directory and put the binary in it, with the name cws. Usually it's /var/www/cgi-bin or $HOME/cgi-bin on public webservers, where $HOME is your home location.

Public server

Create a file named ".htaccess" : AddType application/x-httpd-cws cws
Action cws-script /cgi-bin/cws
AddHandler cws-script cws
DirectoryIndex index.cws
Send this file to your server, at the root directory.
Note: it seems that under windows you have to specify the whole absolute path, like c:\Program files/...

Your own server

In your httpd.conf, put these lines AddType application/x-httpd-cws cws
Action cws-script /cgi-bin/cws
AddHandler cws-script cws
Then search for 'DirectoryIndex' and add index.cws to the line
